2021 Clean Air International Forum

With United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) being an organizers, this International conference event is held for air quality improvement discussion and to showcase muti-sectoral clean air solutions.

My Position:

Interpreter / Event Manager

Team size: 20

The lesson I learned from this conference as an Interpreter for rehersal and live-communication with guest speakers and production team members was the importance of knowing the risks as the whole conference was broadcasted in live.

Before the event begins, our team members were aware of the risks and made the list of the risk factors such as sudden audio/film equipment error, miscommunication with guest speakers and other production team, and delay in schedule.

Those problems did happen eventually, however, non of the team members panicked and they were able to proceed the on-live conference while minimizing the delay in schedule. As an Interpreter, mainly assisting the communications between staffs and participants, it was easy to understand how the priority should work in rapid problem solving and I was able to practice team communication in a rapid work environment where everything happens very fast.

My Achievement:

  • Successfully Utilize team communication in rapid work environment.

  • Effectively assisted in problem-solving using langauge skill (English, Korean, Japanese) and logkeeping.

  • Assisted guest speakers by updating my team about their needs and inform necessary information.
