Concept Design 'Under the Sea'

This collection represents the concept designs crafted for my short animatic video 'Under the Sea'.

Motivated by my own weariness from the monotonous routine, I aim to explore how individuals in today's society can regain their enthusiasm for daily life. The protagonist, Lily, yearns to return to her original human form after being trapped in the body of a fish.

Two conflicts drive the narrative: Internally, Lily fights with an overwhelming sense of boredom and disillusionment, while externally, she's trapped by a curse.

Ultimately, the story culminates with Lily rediscovering her enthusiasm for life, choosing her own path filled with passion and purpose. Along the way, she learns to appreciate the small joys and occurrences, resolving her curse independently, without relying on Prince Jackson's assistance.

<Characters>

Lily, the princess of her kingdom, felt trapped in her monotonous life within the confines of the castle. One day, she awoke to find herself transformed into a fish, sparking within her a new goal: to return to her former life. However, lacking the life experience to navigate her own destiny, she struggles to achieve her goal.

Encountering Dr. Whale, a wise inhabitant of the ocean, Lily found guidance in shaping her perspective of the world and discovering her own identity. Inspired by Dr. Whale's teachings, she learned to breach the water's surface.

Meanwhile, Lily's fiancé, Prince Jackson, was also transformed into a jellyfish by a magician under political pressure to rescue Lily. Unable to assist her in reverting to human form, he too embarks on a journey to discover his identity and life's purpose.
